Can you install a webcam into a laptop that already has a built in webcam?

Well the reason why is because the built in webcam in my laptop sucks and I am thinking about getting a better quality webcam.

Well it is possible, yes, but the simpler (and less expensive) option would be to buy and use a clip-on webcam of higher quality. please keep in mind that most webcams on the market aren’t very fantastic in the first place. You would have to find a similar sized and shaped camera and have the expertise to install it. If you decide to have it installed INTO the laptop, you would void your warranty, which is bad in case something goes wrong and you need a repair.
