Can you recommend a book?

I am a teacher (1st grade), I have no children and am married to a wonderful man. I am on our Winter break and want to read a few books but I am not sure what to pick up.
I have read several of Sue Monk Kidd’s books as well as Gigi Levangie Grazer and Allison Pearson, but it seems I have read all of their’s which are easily accessible at the library or book store.

I love the authors that you listed (particularly Sue Monk Kidd), so we may have similar taste in novels. My favorite of the books that I’ve read recently is called “The Art of Racing in the Rain,” by Garth Stein. It’s a quick (but fantastic!) read about a dog who believes that when he dies, he will be born again as a human if he lives his life well. It’s funny, but also deals with difficult issues, from death of loved ones to rape. My mother recommended it to me, and I loved it. Definitely worth reading. Hope you enjoy, and happy holidays!
