Why do i keep dreaming about my guy best friend ?

okay so the past 3 nights i’ve had dreams about him , not good ones either . I don’t remember the other two nights but I remember that I was jealous. Let’s call him pete , So last night i had a dream where pete and my cousin * lets call her sam * were flirting a whole bunch and getting real physical and for some reason I was there and I was really really jealous like beyond compair . I’ve never dreamed about him before and when I have it would be like little parts , We talk 24/7 and we hang out almost everyday. My friends think he’s in love with me and I’m not gonna lie there’s something there but I don’t wanna risk anything. Why does this keep happening & how do i stop it ?

Sometimes people put to much stake in their dreams. While they can help you sort out some of your thoughts and feelings, they are not controllable or even sensible half the time. However, with all the other things you said it’s hard for me to believe that this friendship isn’t about to evolve into a full blown romance. Maybe the only way to stop these dreams is to explore your relationship him and see if there’s a chance you two could make it work. On the other hand, if you have no interest in dating him, laugh at the dreams and keep it moving. The more you obsess over them the more credit you give them.
